You generally have to leave the house to do so.

You should be, you suck 😉
To be fair, I think everyone is a bit disappointed in themselves. I know I am. I am capable of great things, but I lack the motivation and drive to make them a reality. That pattern has repeated itself multiple times in my life. For example"
1) I had a legit shot at playing pro baseball (threw 90+ MPH as a sophomore in highschool) but lacked the drive to work out and was severely injured as a result )(snapped post medial epicondle tendon in right elbow = bye bye career).
2) I went to college and got a degree in chemistry. Because I wussed out of grad school (I "took some time off") I effectively denied myself access to jobs allowing my to enjoy one of my true passions.
3) After my first year in a top tier law school I was number 16 in my class. After that year, i subsequently decided that "it wasn't worth the effort" and I am now barely in the top 25% of my class. To be fair, I almost quit law school, so sticking it out for another three years was a big achievement for me
4) I tell myself 2-3 times a week that I need to start working out, but I never do. If I start, I end up quitting in a few months because it is "too much work," even if I have made substantial progress. Last time I worked out hard I lost 20lbs in a month and a half. I've now found everyone of those pounds.
5) I currently work in a law firm doing patent prosecution. Although the work is interesting and challengin, I have absolutely no drive to become partner. In fact, i have already decided that I am going to retire from practicing law within 5-10 years, get a teaching certificate, and go teach high school chemistry. We'll see if it happens though.
Man, I am depressed now. Sorry to hijack your thread.
