Sup All,

I am planning to build a computer for CAD style working and 3D Rendering. After reading here, it seems the 7800GT is one of the best cards.

But, newegg has different version of the same card: 7800GT by Evga

Look at the bottom 4 on this page...all of them are 7800GT with 256Ram. So what is the difference and which is one is the best for CAD 3D style work??

Oh, the rig is going to be AMD X2 for sure.

Or is there another better card for this style of work...no overclocking..no gaming.

Thanx

One of them is the CO version which is the one with the hz at 470/1100/ Another is one that comes with the BF2 game. The other 2 are similar although have different model #'s.

yeah, i think the two with the different numbers were because one was originally combo'd with the motherboard deals.

Look at the speeds, one is 35Mhz slower. Just get the sightly slower version.
For CAD check out the Nvidia Quadro and ATI Firegl models, the company websites should have a good writeup and AT has reviewed some of those before. The 7800/x1800 models are more for gaming.
