Time for a new bike and then hit the roads to get in better shape.

So far I got these parts:
2003 Specialized S-Works E5 frame w/ carbon fork
Shimano Ultegra brakes, Crank, Casette, Bottom bracket
Shimano Dura Ace Brake/Shifter levers, Rear derailleur, Front derailleur, Chain
Forte Pro Mg/Ti pedals
Hutchinson Carbon Pro tires w/ Michelin Ultra light tubes.

Missing:
Wheels, seatpost, stem, handlebar, bar tape, saddle + elbow grease

:D:D

That'll be a nice ride. I have a Specialized Allez Comp w/ Ultegra that is pretty sweet.

If you're riding primarily for training, I would say that you should just get heavier components. It'll make lighter ones feel all the sweeter if you swap out the training ones, esp. the wheels.

Definitely get ergo-bend handlebars....

my 2 cents,

Ken

All Dura Ace would be cool but the difference in price is to big.

DA cranks are $160 more expensive
DA brakes are 75% more expensive but doesn't work better
I went DA on the most important parts. DA shifters are superior, DA derailleurs is worth it.
Ultegra bottom bracket is more durable.

I am not going to get the lightest wheels out there but the Mavic Ksyrium Elite are a strong candidates. Looks cool too.
I haven't decided on handlebars yet. So you like ergo-bend? Which ones are you using?
Looking at Ritchey, Deda and Supergo's inhouse Weyless brand (nice carbon bar for ~$100).

Ultegra is usually good enough. Besides, new 10 speed dura ace group coming out in the fall, so if you're one of those snobs who needs the best, you'll have old stuff on your bike & have to re-do everything.

9 speed is good enough. Also got triple cranks in case I hit the mountains here.
The new 10 speed DuraAce looks sweet but cranks and bottom bracket is not compatible with anything else just like the newest XTR group.

The bike will end up costing ~$2000 i hope.

Drivetrain: Colorado Bicyclist
Tires, tubes, pedals: Performance bicycle. Just opened a shop here locally AND THEY PRICE MATCH ONLINE STORES! :D

Oh wow... i was looking at those E5s on eBay too but none of them were my size... :( I think that was a very good deal. :D

My local bike shop was built for snobs unfortunately... and supergo is pretty a 30 min drive. :(

One more thing... do any of you guys know what kind of display stand the cannondale is on? Thanks.

How do you like the Mavic Cosmic wheels? It does look like a pair of Cosmic Elite, not the carbon version.
The stand? No clue. Is it your bikes?

Hahaha... i wish. :( No way I could even afford those wheels... let alone two bikes. :(

I just saw that pic in a forum and i've been looking for the same stand.

Can you please post pictures when you are done? And how about a price sheet?
