Ok it is my first time building a computer and what i wanna do is making a really awesome gaming machine (price is not an issue) I need a list of everything i need to build a computer it must be the best of the best and it must be reliable and efficient. " remember, it is my first time so try not to use all that computer lingo". -thx for ur time

lol, exactly. the last time somebody said that, i recommended him to get the fx-55, 6800 ultra, 1gb memory, uber sound card, 2 raptors, and etc. the total went up to >$3500. and THEN he said, "dude, that's way above my budget." in common sense, price will ALWAYS be an issue, no matter what object it is that you want, since a price tag is always expendable. 😀

nVidia 6800GT 256MB videocard ~$400
7200rpm hd with 8MB cache.
No OC.
I also believe a hq (Enermax, Antec, Fortron) 350W PSU will be enough.

You can do better than that of course. But not much better. And it's gonna cost you.
I'd rather put those money into something else. Maybe even another new system 12-18 months from now.
