Well, I am a junior in high school. I want to check out my prospective colleges firsthand. For this, I am trying to play a couple week long roadtrip with a couple friends. One thing I can't find. Is there a map of state campgronds and their prices? Any information appreciated. Thx in advance.

Knowing you, you'd drive on the lawns of the universities and somehow get boxed in by a university student on a bicycle.

Well.. not sure on that. I am in Minnesota now, at least going as far as Michigan, maybe even to virginia. Anything in that area, I guess. Draw a line from Minnesota to Virginia and anytyhing around that seems to be it.

you might try the DNR website
department of natural resources, or whatever your state calls it

haha..thats hilarious.

i think you need to start with a list of schools you want to visit and then attempt to plan a trip around that.

if you just drive around aimlessly what will happen is 3am rolls around, everyone is tired and theres no place to stop to sleep except teh side of the road.

this happened to me when i took a springbreak roadtrip in college.

I know. Right now I am checking the feasability. It would be nice to know what/where cheap as heck camp sites are (state ones). Ill most likely make another thread come June, when I really start planning it.

Just drive to Philadelphia. So many damn colleges and universities there it can drive you insane.
