We have been "seeing each other" every weekend (movies, my house, etc.) for the last 5 weeks. I like her, I heard as of 2 weeks ago that she would definately say yes to me if I asked her out, I have to do it now, otherwise I'm worried she will start to think I am leading her on! I want to, I just had some stuff I had to work out before I did.

How about this, I make a mix and when she opens up the jewel case there is a lil piece of paper that says, "Will you go out with me?"

Too cheesy?

Well, how about these songs...

Van Morrison- Sweet thing
Van Morrison- Brown Eyed Girl (she has brown eyes...eeeexcellent :))
Van Morrison- Moon Dance
Dead or Alive- You Spin Me Right Round (heheh, just for fun :))
Dave Matthews stuff...Crush, uhh...I haven't listened to them much in awhile. :(

I need some recommendations on songs...*aherm*Dennilfloss*aherm*

Thanks. :)

I dont know what color eyes you have ... but I have brown eyes and my fiance has blue eyes .. and the song "loves the sweetest thing" by that Robbie somebody guy has a line about a blue eyed boy meeting a brown eyed girl .. and its awesome .. makes me feel all warm and gushy ... if you have blue eyes that would be a great song

5 weeks? you must be pretty comfortable around her then. What's wrong with looking her in the eye and asking her out?

as for songs...if I think of any I'll post them :)

I do feel very comfortable around her. :) Heh, I've known her for 7 weeks...we grew friendly very quickly. :)

I can't get up the courage to ask her directly, you can't imagine how many times I've looked into those beautiful brown eyes and wanted to right then and there...

sweetrobin, I have brown eyes...thanks anyway. :)

trp, then what do you do?! Just say, "Uhh, this is awkward, wanna go make out in the bathroom?" LOL jk! :) But seriously, what do you do? I'm a newbie at this stuff...

:p

How about:

"Hey baby, I'm getting a PS2 any day now!"

;)

Actually, I think the mix tape thing would be good - would she expect a mix tape (i.e. have you offered to make her one?)
Also - make sure you are there when she opens it to re-ask or recieve the answer.

She's been hanging out at your house for 5 weeks to watch movies. If you can't ask her out you've got some serious confidence problems man.

alright, but you should know one thing...it will feel a hell of a lot better when she says yes after you actually ask her than if she reads it..just my opinion. and if you've been "seeing her" for 5 weeks, you really don't have a reason to be afraid.
if you do decide to do that, still make her the CD. make sure it's all good lyrics because chicks dig that stuff! ;)

I haven't had such good luck in the past, I am pretty sure that she will say yes (btw, we've gone to movies and she's come over to my house...not come over to my house to watch movies! LOL) but...well, here, look at these experiences:

Once, I asked a girl out, her response, "Are you serious?"
I ask a girl out, her response, "Uhhh...ummm...can we just be...uhhh...really good friends?"
I ask a girl another girl out that same year as the second one, she says yes...turns out she is a B!TCH! Dumped her in 36 hours.
Then I took the next year off because I didn't wanna screw anything up (friendships)...the year after that I liked girls that I had a 1% chance with...this year, I am about to ask this girl out...and I'm scared even though I am quite confident that she will say yes.

Just ask the girl out, plain and simple.

5 weeks of seeing each other is more than a sign.

sure you can play the songs if you want and she is into that, but you also don't want to look like a weirdo

these songs might go good on your cd... :)

U2 - when I look at the world (lyrics)

foo fighters - walking after you (lyrics)

jets to brazil - sweet avenue (lyrics)

you're on the right track w/ some of the DMB stuff too.. crush, crash into me, etc. will probably be good songs.

it's allll about the lyrics man ;)

She's been coming over to your house, and you've already been going to the movies together.... how did this happen if you didn't communicate going out together before? Just curious :)

I haven't said "will you go out with me?" since I was a freshman. In high school. If you've been spending the last five weeks with her, what would change? If that's the difference between going home with blue balls or something, go for it. Otherwise, just make a move.

yucky: The P4's increase pipeline length, I'm guessing....

zippy, I understand you might've had problems before, and I really should be the last person criticizing someone for confidence or lack thereof, but I'm not going to go into that right now. My advice would be it can't hurt to try, even if she turns out to be a b!tch it's better you find out now rather than over time. It sounds like your mind is trying to come up with reasons not to ask her out because you'd like to go out with her but you don't want to think of what would happen if something went wrong. Just go for it, hell, if worse comes to worse, life will go on, tomorrow's another day.

We went as friends. :p Didn't hold hands or kiss or anything.

I don't make moves unless it is "official," nothing besides a being more physical (no home runs...too young IMHO). Heh, I'm close to a freshman in high school, not too much older.

This one isn't a b!tch. :)

The other one went out with my friend and got b!tchy on him too...I should've known better than to ask her out.

I am gonna do it...just a straight out ask...verbally. :)

She makes me so happy and we have so much fun together and she is so beautiful that it's hard thinking of reasons not to...I guess I have to overcome this lil fear of mine. :p

OK, I understand, the only thing is do you think there is a possiblity she won't open the CD case until later? Or would you prefer it that way?

Zippy, considering you two have been going on for 5 weeks, its almost like you were dating.
You dont have to be officially dating. I know where you want to go, you want to make it official. Well you could do the following:

Write a list of things you like/love about her on paper. *for fun ask her to read aloud*
Example:

<< These are the things I love about you ms.so&so
 • Your Eyes
 • The way you dress
 • Your laugh
...........
 • Of all those things I love Nothing beats the time I spend with you. Will you go out with me.
*a sad puppy look on your face*
>>

I am sure she will say yes.

Else you could always ask her direct.

I would say if you're going to ask her out then be honest. This can be dangerous though. For some it would a very heart felt expression of caring, love, and commitment. For others it would be "I really want to make out with you so what do you say."

And if the second reason is yours then I hope she slaps you. If not then good luck.

edit somethingwitty beat it me to it

You cant tell her all that cheesy crap good guy! She will giggle with her friends for hours!

Hey Zipper, tell her that you are devestated that the g800 wont be out this year and you need some comforting.

Errrrr.....

ANYWAY -- I would probably just say something like "I really like you, and I think i want to be with you. Will you go out with me?"
