Where as the rest of world included the "first world country" that "you are lucky to be born in" are pro-lifers. We need to stop poping out kids like there is no tomorrow. yes, that is true. However, China is still under control of 1 government, where as Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh are 3 separate countries even though they are many different peoples/cultures on one geographical region.

It all depends on how fertile the land is. Bangladesh is basically a delta plain formed by the confluence of 3 rivers. If you look at the whole subcontinent.. it is said to contain the most fertile land. Also, due to the weather(shaped mainly due to Himalayas) people can cultivate land for at least 10 months a year.

If you look at the agricultural output in the sub continent.. theoretically it should be sufficient to provide food for every person living there are even more. The Governments are having problems with storage of food rather than producing the food. Sadly though.. the Governments there seem to ignore the importance of having good storage infrastructure.

Wut? Quite a few highly developed, First world nations have extremely low or negative growth rates. Biggest culprits are not religious zealots, but uneducated people with no future planning ability.

When you have a population of 1.3Bn, one child policy or not, its not going to take much to have population growth. If even a fraction of people have children, you're still looking at potentially hundreds of millions of children without much effort.

What's interesting is that in a lot of countries that surround China the birth rate has fallen at nearly the same rate without government coercion.
