I am always curious about this...

I don't know firsthand, but I've been told by several friends that they are combustible...I'm too scared to try.
 
Try it and find out. Get a 6 year old to do it for a science project. Use some common sense. Search for "lighting farts" on google.
 
in theory methane is flamable but its hard to get your fart to light because its too dispersed and not enough gas.
 
My brother did it. Do it with a friend. You will laugh your ass off (if you don't burn it off).

1) Lay on the floor when you feel a fart coming on
2) Roll back, so your legs are way in the air
3) Place lighter right by your butthole (pants on - very important!)
4) Let her rip and enjoy
