I am running the latest Windows 7, latest updates.
I am running FF3.0.11
Recently, the following happens:
I work with Firefox, read something or write a msg on a forum. EACH some minutes, my PC starts accessing the HD and it freezes up my browser - i have to wait about 20secs to be able to continue doing anything.
It happens all the time..IT JUST HAPPENED AGAIN...#&%%!".
I already did scans with kaspersky and hijackthis which come up clean.
If i run a process monitor it LOOKS like its firefox accessing and doing something on with the fonts folder?
I am so *****ed right now i am about to uninstall FF. I cannot be productive when my PC has a break each few minutes and stops whatever it does.
By the way its a PC w/ 4 cores at 3.5Ghz..its not THE fastest ATM but its pretty high end (or was when i built it) I have 4 GB of memory. Its not swapping out the pagefile...but the result is about the same since it freezes the whole machine every time.
I already weeded out some FF addons and plugins to have less overhead...but it still happens.
EDIT: It was TWITTERFOX Add-On
Solved
