I always need the file extensions.. on everything!

I like making small little reminders for myself in a notepad but it gets beyond the limit of annoying when every time I make alittle reminder, I have to put in the ".txt".

Is there a way to make this default setting for files to be switched to automatic extension labeling?

No, if you have explorer show the extensions then you have to provide them when you create a new file.

This is one of the features I lovw about Vista.
