Tons of people are reporting that they have problems with their new computer, although they always find a way to post here. Is it in America common to have more then 1 computer at home?

Probably not common in America at large, but for the people here I'd say yes, it's common.

what he said. i remember there was a poll about how many computers you had in the house.....very few had only 1.

We have a computer in every room of the house.

For the average American, it's probably 1 computer, but realize the people who post on here are mostly geeks. We tend to build a new computer, and then put the old one in service the next door down, so it's 2-3 computers in many cases.

With my friends, it's mostly that the sons(about 16-20) have computers and they always upgrade it so if they have a problem with the upgrade, they couldn't check something like AT or so

I'll say 4/5 of my friends have more than 1 computer.

I got a computer but if I have a problem I have 3 other computers w/ my apt mates to use.
