I ALSO got a car!

Orsorum

Lifer
48,000 miles, from Enterprise Car Sales. This car rocks!

I'll post pics in a bit.

Cost me $14k after window tint, extended warranty, and tax. I put $2k down and financed the rest, and I'll be putting more money on it next summer once I'm done with grad school.

Enterprise has a 1 year/12,000 mile limited warranty on their cars (barring maintenance-related issues) that comes free of charge, I got an additional 3 years/24,000 miles of coverage for $1500. Yeah, it's steep, but IMO it's worth it until I have the financial wherewithal to cover major maintenance problems when they arise.

What Phiur said. We're looking to buy a new car and we're thinking about looking at Enterprise. Does it still have the warranty?

Edit: Okay. Bit out of our range but what about the mfr. warranty? Yes or no?

Yes, up through 60,000 miles (from Kia) and a 1-year warranty/road-side assistance from Enterprise. I shelled out the cash for the four-year, 24,000 mile coverage.

What class/brand of car are you looking for?

pics? I don't know much about kias. Is that the smallest kia? I'm just wonder if its about 14k after taxes...and its that smallest kia, why not get a new Civic DX for about the same cost (or dare I say an echo which has nice gas mileage and can be had new base for 9k probably more like 12k if you want stuff like AC 😉 )

No, it's a mid-size sedan, same class as a Camry or Accord (though slightly less in quality). Best price I could have done with a Civic and similar warranty would have been $16k. I liked the Optima more.

Enterprise as in the rental company?

You bought a used Kia from a rental company?

Yes. 🙂

The car seemed to drive ok?

I know when my wrx had a tsb for the clutch, and I was getting it replaced, I beat the living hell out of my rental car. Hopefully you got one that is still in tact.

It's in good shape. I am going to take it to a family mechanic on Friday to check it out for sure. Will post pics in a sec.
