I almost ran over a guy today . . ..

Well, I was walking around campus after a BIG lunch (went to a buffet that's . . . ina word "awesome") and we're standing around talking to a group of people (they're doing a 24-hour hacky sack fundraiser) and this indian dude just zips THROUGH all of us on a bike in full speed, no less - we had plenty of space around, we're stading around in a big group, and he's on a bike . . . he could have VERY EASILY went around us, but opts to go in a straight line instead.

So I think to myself "what the fu . . .." And keep on talking. About five minutes later, me and my roommate drive back, and on the intersection, I stopped and was about to go, when the SAME IDIOT zips through the damn road without even stopping to look! I almost ran over that fvcker!

I don't know, but does him being middle eastern has something to do with this? Before you say ANY damn thing about how racist I am, yes, I may be stereotyping, but I've not seen a white/mexican/black/asian/native american/samoan ride so god-damned recklessly around town (and by the way they act/dress, I'm thinking they were foreign exchange students, as I've seen multiple instances of this, whether it be bikes, rollerblades, whatever . . ..)! I'm not saying ALL middle easterners do this, so don't jump down my throat, but is it because they ride bicycles on a more frequent basis? Needless to say, I was pissed off when he did this!:|:|:|

I don't think being Indian has anything to do with it. Probably just some reckless ass.

Well, like I said, I see other dudes like that just barge through groups of people on a sidewalk - some of them are just learning how to ride it, granted, but they don't even make an effort to turn around the group (even with more than enough clearence) and just barge through!

Were you on a bike path, or a sidewalk? If you're on a bike path I'm going to ride right through you.

Well, we were on the commons inbetween the library and the student center - it's a big open area that's connected to the quad - if it was on a sidewalk or a bikepath, I'd understand, I suppose . . . but it was a HUGE area, he could have very easily manuevered arond us.

And when it was at an interesction, it's a busy intersection, where there were cars all around. And he just goes through traffic, in full speed, without bothering to stop, or god forbid, SLOW DOWN, and look around. What a stupid fvck. :|

at the intersection he blew did he have a stop sign? If not why should he stop (besides the desire not to get run over). Also you should have closed lined the guy.

Just what I was going to say, since the guy's country of origin is so important to this story, where was the guy really from? Maybe we can help you answer this question that is an integral part of your concern:

"I don't know, but does him being middle eastern has something to do with this? "

That aside, personally, I would punch the guy in the face the next time he flies by. In any case, with his riding habits he is destined to be run over sooner or later.
