The next time you arrogant people think about hitting someone on a bike, put your loved one on that bike and joke about them decorating your hoods!
Nah, none of my loved ones are that stupid, or arrogant, or have a complete lack of respect for the rules of the road, or have that stupid sense of entitlement. They'll be fine.

OP, almost only count in a few things, next time make it count.

As a biker...bikers drive me nuts. The small percentage who are either arrogant or clueless give us a bad rap. Most bikers are pretty decent, but it's always the jerks who stick in your mind, so whenever you think "road cyclist" you always remember that one guy who did something stupid in front of you.

It is worse where I live. Like a cyclist free for all here where anything goes:( I have developed a hatred for cyclist as a result:(

That stinks, but I don't blame you for feeling that way. And it's not just cyclists...I almost ran over a baby the other day due to a runner not paying attention...the dad was running with headphones on, pushing a jogging stroller, and cut straight across the intersection with green lights - completely clueless to ALL oncoming traffic (obviously just in zone-out running mode listening to the beat of the music)...it was horrible, literally came within feet of hitting them both D:

I approached a stoplight with a protected left so I didn't slow down much at first. Fortunately the intersection is pretty clear so I could see the cyclist coming down the hill on the sidewalk who seemed to have no intention of stopping for the Do Not Walk sign so I quickly stopped despite the green turn arrow.

Sure enough he just barreled right through. If I hadn't seen him he would have been splattered on the road.

The worst part? There is a fucking bike lane on the road! Nice little lane with spray painted white lines and a fucking spray painted bike between them but Douchbag McGee decides a dedicated lane is too good for him and wants to ride on the sideWALK instead.

Fuck the laws! I'm on a motherfucking bike!

You should have splattered him.

it is disturbing how people talk so freely about killing people in this thread

This, not really sure why mods aren't banning people in this thread. I mentioned killing a squirrel recently and got banned. Apparently the mods are ok with people discussing murder.

Maybe the mods have a sense of humor?

Only sick fucks would find this humorous.
If running over cyclists makes me a sick fuck, I don't want to be healthy.

Crosses the line from irreverent humor into the wilderness of unacceptability.

a single road biker generally IMO isn't that big a deal...it is when you get packs of those asshats together where they think they are king shit on turd island.

Just the other day I was running (against traffic) on a country road...you could see for as long as you wanted.

I see a pack of about 20 of them coming...I gleen over as far as I can without getting onto the shoulder...

Well wouldn't you know it. the entire pack literally veered toward me to get me off the road and onto the shoulder...

We passed each other within a half a foot probably going 25+ MPH...

So if I was to say get ran over by one of those guys...whom would have been at fault? me or him?

When driving or cycling, it's safer to assume that traffic laws are just suggestions; therefore you should remain under constant vigilance to avoid any close calls.

Last week, I was biking down a major boulevard (speed limit 25mph) riding with the traffic flow, when a merging car coming off the parkway (55mph) didn't obey a stop sign. I peripherally saw the car (which was partially blocked by trees) and sped up my electric bicycle, otherwise he would have clipped me from behind doing around 40mph. He hit his horn quicker than he ever hit the brakes.

I especially notice that most drivers do not understand the yield sign when transferring from one major thoroughfare to another.

This. There are good drivers and bad drivers. There are good cyclists and bad cyclists. Confirmation bias is evil, I tells you! Evil!
