It's an old handle from years past, when the internets were still young. :D

APR is having its seasonal sale, a fully loaded ECU for the price of one program... oh so tempting...

Agreed. Something about stretched tires looks... unnatural.

Stretched tires? Is that low profile?

FI on an RX-8 sounds deliciously expensive, let us know how the 2nd mortgage and months of downtime work out. :p

I run into GTI's from time to time, they sound so cute with their little bov's. Flashed or not, just don't mess with anything up to and including a stock MS3 or you will be very disappointed.

A friend is getting his done, costing him roughly $5k, but its going to be a totally custom job. It might cost him more, but who knows at this point. I want to go with a bolt on from one of the more recognizable names out there.

Sorta like low profile+stupid mod crowd.

what is stretch?
- "stretch" refers to stretching a narrower tire over a wider wheel, the sidewalls stretch from the lip to the tread

Edit: Example...

i've looked into this a lot, and audi doesnt actually certify stasis at all.

all you get is some equivalent warranty to replace the audi one you just voided on your engine if you pay the extra money for a stasis flash.

the stasis flash also isnt as good as the apr one, and with the apr fully loaded deal you get a bunch of other modes that the stasis doesnt have (nor can the stasis do the switching).

im also considering the apr flash, even though i'm pretty happy with the stock performance, it just seems to be by far the best performance deal around.

Yeah...poor choice of words on my part saying it was certified. My understanding is that Stassis has the same relationship with Audi that Dinan does with BMW. If the Audi tech determines the problem is related to the Stassis parts, then they will bill Stassis. Not sure you can bring the car into a non-Stassis dealership though...haven't researched.

APR really does seem to be the better setup and is likely what I will do once I get around to it.

Woah. I don't want to sound sexist or anything...but damn, I'd never expect a woman to buy an S4. An A4 maybe. :)

Is she cute?

I think you are certifiably insane to attempt this on a daily driven rotary, there's a very specific reason that Mazda hasn't offered an FI version for this gen.

But hey you only live once, so go for it. I want to see some burnouts...:p

I imagine a turbo RX-8 engine would not last terribly long. The car does handle well, with another 50-100 horses it would be a real beast.
