I almost bought some 18 year Chivas Regal

Bateluer

Lifer
But it was too expensive, so I went with the 12 year Chivas instead.

Did I make a mistake? This was earlier today though, been tappin' that 12 year bottle for a few hours now. 🙂 Is the 18 year bottle better than the 12 year bottle?

Opinions welcome. 🙂

A 1L bottle of 12 year was 31 USD, a .5L bottle of 18 year was 61 USD.

Chivas Regal is a blended Scotch whisky. The brand was founded by the Chivas brothers, who founded the distillery. The brothers received their first royal warrant in 1843.

The name "Chivas" comes from Gaelic seamhas, meaning a narrow place in a river.

The standard blend is 12 years old, though they also market an 18 year old called Rare/Old as well as a top shelf 21 year old called Royal Salute.

So, what does the 21 year bottle sell for?

It does for alternator-sized cuts.

Mine's radiator-shaped. It got squashed by the treadmill.
