i accidentally got my bb tour in emergency callback mode

i accidentally got my bb tour in emergency callback mode. how do i get it out so i can use it again? the verizon website says jusT MAKE A NON EMERGENCY CALL BUT THAT doesnt work

Press and hold "1" for a call to voicemail? All signs point to making another call to a normal number clear this state.

I would'nt suggest howardforums for this. The BlackBerry section has very low traffic.

thanks for the help. i checked the forums at crackberry and everyone there said there is no simple fix (calling a regular number, doing a battery pull) i called verizon and they confirmed this and had me do a TOTAL WIPE!!!! so if you ever dial an emergency number with a bb tour be aware that youre going to lose everything on your phone unless you do a backup

What? If you call 911 you need to wipe your phone? Does not seem right.

I had to Dial 911 on my storm it went into the emergency mode but all went back to normal.

yeah that is what is supposed to happen but on tour it doesnt. everyone else is having the same problem. i waited 8 hours and it never went back to normal mode and when i talked to verizon they said i had to do a wipe on this phone

i actually did call them again and they couldnt help and of course they were mildly pissed so i dont recommend that. so anyway you can add this problem along with lack of wifi to the list of reasons not to get blackberry tour
