I hate this university internet. Downloads cap at 90kbps, and many of my games are port blocked :|

The OP has his games blocked by apple.

I had 100Mbps internet when I lived in the dorms. of course no server could match that. The best I ever got was 8MB/s down.

Great for downloading Linux distros, right?

Right now it's Windows Server 2003, courtesy of MS's Dreamspark.

True, but my desktop/gaming rig is not. This is just my take-to-class-and-never-have-to-charge-during-the-day laptop.

haahhaahhaah sucks for you.

when i was on campus (off campus now), i was pulling 4Mb/s on servers that could handle it.

I remember this guy who had the county sheriff's dept come and take him away when I was working at the university apartments. We were told that it was a lot more than just looking at the kiddie pr0n and they left it to our imaginations beyond that.

Good luck with that Internet thing! 😀

Why not server 2008?

Got it last time I was on campus. My parents have an old computer that won't support 2008 so I'm getting 2003 to set them up a home server.
