Fedex pissed me off today.

I'm a pilot, so I spend a lot of time at the airport (ANchorage Int'l Airport). This also happens to be Fedex's 2nd largest hub in the WORLD. It's 1/2 mile away from me right now. My package arrived there this morning, and I called to see if I could just pick it up since I was so close. They said that no, a delivery attempt must be made first. I explained I won't be home today because I'm supposed to be flying, and was told that when the truck brings it back to the facility THEN I can pick it up... mind you it wasn't even loaded onto the truck at this point! It was sitting in their warehouse.

Where is the common sense anymore?

I've gotten many free upgrades to Overnight FedEx shipping from China, which have mostly been iPods.
