just watched the beginning couple minutes of X2 and saw on the box that DTS is available in the setup menu so I went back and switched and started over...

First time I ever bothered to do a side by side comparison.
 
There is no question that given equal amounts of effort invested in each audio stream that DTS will sound "better". Problem is, no one ever puts the same amount of effort into both streams. So you end up with some movies that DD sounds better on and others where DTS sounds better.
