I’m melting….

The heat & humidity in Boston is unbearable with no relief in sight, 100 degree temps coming. I am not a happy camper 😢

I can't stand the heat either it's just awful to be all sweaty and sticky. Hard to get anything done when in that state as it's just so uncomfortable. Thankfully we rarely get temps like that here and if we do it doesn't last more than a few days.

Either way I try not to complain too much since summers are so short. We'll be shoveling snow in no time.

Strangely enough this has actually been a not too bad summer in San Antonio. Still solidly above average heat relative to the historical mean of the past 30 years but not the utter nightmares 2023 and 2022 were where we'd have heat domes park themselves over us for 4 weeks at a time.

Got a nice cool 97 today, low 100s thru Sunday then 108 Monday, 110 Tuesday then finish next week off in the low 100s again. My water bill has been going nuts the last 2 months due to me having to refill my pool because of evaporation.

Agreed. It hasn’t been cold in Houston but it seems like most of the high pressure systems have been sitting around the Rockies into the rust belt.

Did a heavy bag workout in the backyard between 2-3 this afternoon. In the shade of the oak with the wind it was a great sweat. Heat index was about 106f and my son didn't take it well. He was bonked and light headed by the end. He gulped a sports drink, took a coolish shower (there is no cold water here this time of year), and had a nap.

I have been pressure washing and landscaping the last week too. I don't know what it is, but I always feel fantastic a few hours after sweating out liters in the yard. All of that said, I would not want to deal with this heat if I did not know there was a A/C, ceiling fans, and icy cold water afterwards.

Been in the upper 70s the last couple of days NW of Chicago. We have managed to leave the AC off though still need fans on when its in the 70s and humid.

It's been less ass than usual for this time of year, largely in part to the ridiculous amount of rain we've been getting. I'm not complaining, but the sogginess does make it difficult to cut the grass.
