"Privilege" is a concept that is currently in vogue. It's purpose: A new way to justify redistribution of wealth. What is new about this tool? It does not require immoral behavior on the part of the victim. You simply have to be born with more than someone else. That makes you fair game for the "unprivileged" to steal your stuff.

Of course the concept is evil and irrational, and should be discarded and ignored. For that to happen, we have to identify the purpose and motives of those who employ the concept. So what is that motive? Envy. Hatred of those that are better than you. Instead of becoming one of them by hard work and achievement, you lay waste by promoting irrational egalitarianism.

And that is what the concept "Privilege" is in this context. Irrational egalitarianism run amok.

It is quite amusing to see how thieves rationalize their ill gotten gains. "All those worthless fuckers that don't know how to steal, are jealous and envious."

But then ones doesn't exactly expect a thief to look at himself and say, Geez, what a scum bag I am, now do we.

I drive a Tiburon because it gets 35mpg.

We get stopped all the time.

Two things happen. Either we get a bogus speeding ticket or they are expecting punky drugged up kids and shocked when Shrek gets out of the car.

They stick their flashlight which is a combo BAC Analyzer in my face and shows nothing to their dismay and stick the search dog in each door and they do nothing to their dismay and they let us go.

My wife's Vietnamese. She drives a Honda Civic. I'm white. I drive a Chevy.

I've gotten pulled over more often than my wife.

Therefore my anecdotal evidence contradicts yours.

Also, I notice people are calling it racist, but not saying it's not true. That's telling.

dESSICANT HAS MADE TWO POsts as we speak. How would I know his race? You completely ignore what I said, that the fact there are winners so that there must be losers is built into the system. That has nothing to do with race. How did you come to the conclusion I was calling whites scum bags. We have a scum bag system and those who win in it win because they are willing to take advantage of it. Doesn't that make you a scum bag, especially if you worry, once you have won, that somebody envies you for it. You won because some will win in a system of winners and losers. How can you worry or feel entitled when you are a product of the fact you lack the morality not to play in a corrupt system? Additionally, I am white and rich the result of hardworking thrifty parents who were gracious enough to loan me money that by pure the pure fortune of investing I multiplied 100 times. Right time, right place, right conditions. Lucky dice.

"white privilege" is a failed ploy and hoax used by liberal race pimps. A tool in their divide and conquer agenda for America. Today's liberals can't be good democrats unless they are race pimps.

Fun reading poor whites fight with poor blacks in same boat over the scraps that corporatists throw them.

No one allowed to be smarter, better-looking, or physically able than anyone else. The Handicapper General's agents enforce the equality laws, forcing citizens to wear "handicaps": a mask if they are too beautiful, radio earphones with shrill noise to disrupt the thinking of intelligent people, and heavy weights to burden the strong or athletic.

So have we moved to talking about class now? That might be productive, so I assume we have not...

I favor a nation where everyone earns, and no one steals. But that is not what we have. The current mode is envious mediocrities inventing reasons to take the property of those who are better than them. And the current phony pejorative-du-jour is "privilege".

I reject the entire concept. I was born with what was given to me by my parents. They, and I, owe none of it to anyone who was born higher or lower than I was. Rich, middle, or poor people should lavish whatever they have earned and own on their kids or anyone else they care about. It is their right. With no interference or objection from the envious mediocrities. We are not born into slavery.

If someone is unhappy with their lack of income or wealth, than that is a personal problem to be solved by the individual. Without resorting to envy and theft.

People who beotch about the "privilege" of those they are jealous of need to identify the true problem: themselves.

Your viewpoint is so very limited. So let me tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your clothes, and what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds in the air: they don't work sow or save seeds and yet they are taken care of naturally. Are you not of more capable than they?

And what good is all your work going to do for you? Why strive for the good opinion of others. Just look at beautiful flowers. They didn't work to be that way. Look at a field of wheat. Today it is green and beautiful but tomorrow baked into bread. Weren't you born more beautiful than grass. No you do not trust in the things of life that matter but seek after personal gain, unaware of the infinite treasures you have. Know thyself first and you will neither toil or envy but cut through life like a hot knife through butter. You have fallen in love with the part of you that is most ugly, contempt for your neighbor's sins.
Do not worry about tomorrow until tomorrow gets here. To worry about tomorrow is not to be here today.

My viewpoint is so very limited. To the Universe and Reality. Perhaps you should reconsider smoking that next joint so that the fantasy birds will return to their nests. Because in my world, and yours, the real birds toil endlessly to stay alive, searching relentlessly for the slithering Earthworm or the flittering moth, or the the random blowing remnants of a forgotten slice of Wonder Bread. And the chirping bird, without the gift of Reason, is nevertheless smart enough to realize that failure to engage in the daily acts of toil necessary for survival will quickly relegate his carcass to the function of food to another animal who did not choose to relinquish his responsibility.

The beautiful flowers, with not even the microscopic intellectual talent of the chirping bird, are nevertheless sufficiently sentient to bend towards the sun and soak up the water that randomly rolls adjacent. Offering the fruits of their productivity to the buzzing bees, that they might dance among their stamens and assist them with reproduction.

Yes, even the bacteria themselves live in consonance with reality, and act for their "personal gain" to insure survival.

I submit that personal gain is the highest calling available to a human being, or any other living thing.

I pursue it daily, and include within its grasp the joys of physical consumerism and sharing the amazing world in which I live with those I love and who love me.

Life is meant to be lived for the art and science of personal gain. Repent, my rudderless young padawan, join Reality and get the eff to work.

You may have figured it out already but moonbeam is batshit insane. We humor him, of course, but no sense in wasting a response on his psycho babble. Just smile, and wave.

I did think he was borderline insane, but his sig was semi-lucid. Perhaps it was written in earlier times before the apparent breakdown.

Actually I don't take drugs and my post wasn't exactly rudderless either. I just offered you something from the Bible. Who knows, a person of your capacity, so filled full of himself as the product of such gifted capacity, might one day notice a hunger for something else. I sense some lack somewhere, the flip side of what looks to be an ostentatious need to impress. As a matter of fact, you remind me of a fine wine I've had the pleasure of sampling before.

Yes, being white does result in you being fucked a tiny bit less by the man.

Not really. I've seen it in court, where some illegal was caught driving without a license, and the judge basically just said "try to get a license" (which was like a joke, since my state, at the time, wouldn't give driver's licenses to illegals), but some white kid, caught driving without a license? Damn, throw the book at him!

"I've known people." Is that like "I can't be racist because I have a black friend?"

Anecdotal evidence doesn't fly here.

B-b-b-b-but it's got evidence right in the name! Surely it proves all of my ideas to be totally true!
