Hello Folks,

I never really gave it much thought, but what are the governing parameters of the my setup, which includes an Elsa Gladiac MX 32MB SDRAM AGP video card sitting on an Abit VT6X4 motherboard which the 4-in-1 drivers are loaded as well as the Elsa drivers for this card. The video card is driving a Viewsonic 19" PS790.

Currently, I have the resolution set to 1600X1200 in 16-bit color and the refresh rate is set to 60Hz. I've tried to find information of the abilities of the monitor on ViewSonic's website, but they do not seem to have legacy support for info, and this monitor was replaced by the PF790 with a different CRT.

The last thing I want to do is over-drive the monitor, but I would care less for under-driving the monitor to which games and apps suffer or just do not take advantage of higher refresh rates. Anyone have or know of a site where I could look up this information? I've sent an email to ViewSonic, but with no reply as of yet.

Well, I actually received a better response from ViewSonic's 800# and on this Sunday morning! I was told that 78 Hz for 1600X1200 and 90 Hz for 1280X1024 (and 119 Hz for 1024X768) are the maximum refresh rates. WOW!
