As the title says, I have a Hyundai L90D+ which is making an intermittent crackling noise from the back of the panel that sounds like electical shorting. Sometimes its hardly audible & other times its annoyingly loud. This is my second panel after I RMA'd the first for exactly the same problem although the first seemed to flicker at the same time while this one doesnt. Anyone seen this problem before or know what causes it? I'm loathed to keep RMAing in case I get one with a bunch of dead pixels.

Interesting. Doesn't happen with mine. The only thing I can think of is the speakers in
the back.

Very rare that you can get the same issue more than once. If the monitor is flickering I would say it is likely a power source issue. How's the power in your house/condo/living abode.

Yeas I thought it was rather unlucky. However, this one doesn't flicker so I dont think power supply is the common denominator. My old 19 inch crt was much more power hungry & it didnt have any problems. Speakers are not connected & sound is disabled so dont think they're to blame.

Its connected on a dvi cable to an overclocked GTO2 card if that gives any more clues.

Replace the power source/strip. I got the same exact problem, it sounded like rats scratching in the back of my monitor when I turned on my old PC. And given enough time, the screen would flicker as it lost power. It turned out to be my power strip.

You mean the mains cable? Its just a regular kettle lead - does that really make a difference? I'll swap it out & see.
