Hyundai Imagequest L90D+ Monitor makes 'buzzing' sound?

It's really quite annoying. When I turn off the monitor the sound ceases. I don't think it's a vibration as when I move around the monitor/tap on the sides it still buzzes. I'm sure there's probably nothing I can do to stop it, but if by change anybody has a suggestion or at least an idea of what the problem is, I would appreciate your input!

Maybe a backlighting bulb is going bad? Just a wild guess. I have a L90D+ and it's never made any noise in 4 years.

Could be related to an inverter or the smps going bad, although I have yet to come across a monitor with similar symptoms.

After studying this review, the thought comes to mind that the buzzing could well be coming from the monitor's power supply. Apparently Hyundai uses an unconventional ciruitry in this area. If the buzzing is coming from the built in speakers, you might consider disconnecting them. Buzzing is often EMI related to A/C shielding.

Just a tought - if you can, you might try using the analog connection instead of the digital, and see if that makes any difference.

Corkyg - I believe you were somewhat right with the part about the speakers. I had the audio cable unplugged from the back of my PC and it was sitting on a metal heater unit behind my desk. When I took it off of that the buzzing stopped.

Meh... :/

OK - you were mainlining EMI into the speakers. Good move.
