What if??

What if Russia and China decide to ally and Attack US forces in Iraq?? How do you think Nato will respond. I know where Most of Asia and Eastern Europe will say and do pretty much the only countries i'm not sure of is Western Europe, in particular the other NATO members.

Anyone have thoughts?

and please, none of the "french will just surrender" type jokes, we've seen more than enough of them.
 
I'd say the only concrete bacj\kup the US would get would be from England and Denmark. Of course, their forces would be under attack, too.
 
I'd say... BRING IT ON!!

The US needs some real action! Hell, we could take on the incoming commie bastards all by our lonesome.

I realize that it is extremely unlikely and NOR do i have the faintest wish or desire for this to happen. It is posed as HYPOTHETICAL because it would force the hands of other NATO members and I think it is interesting to think about.

Just curious... in your hypothetical scenario, how would the Russian/Chinese troops be inserted into the theater? Do they plan to march all the way across Asia, or would their forces somehow be able to overcome the overwhelmingly dominant U.S. control of air and sea routes into the theater? (remember, the U.S. has six carrier battle groups in the region)

good point

guess it would be difficult. mb they could work something out with Iran and stage something there. i guess it would require weeks to months to set up.

Well I bet that we will get hit hard with terrorist attacks! There just waiting out their turn and then BAM!!!!!!! your local mall goes up in smoke and 2,000 people are dead. Or BAM!!! we get gassed and thousands die in major city streets. I'll be ready for it all though. My poppa brought out his hunting rifle and we stock piled the basement with supplies that will last us 6 months!

US forces would lose. It's the aftermath that would be unthinkable, nuclear exchange would likely occur.
