Yeah it's a little extravagant..convoluted..dumb, but I got a kick out of it. And after a little trial and error (mostly because I put it together like crap) I got it to work too. It's nothing special really but I could see me trying this again for kicks.

Edit: There are a lot of variables that could make it not work though.

How much voltage and current does it produce? You would have to use a gauge of wire that would glow...

Hmm.. I don't think I have a potato, or I would try this and break out the DMM.. lol
