Hypothetical question for this day...

Let's say you were born August 28th, 1990. That makes you 18 right now and in college.

What age would be the lower limit and the upper limit for the age of the person you are dating?

I just want to see all your stances on this... 🙁 (I am mourning over my potential loss as I found out today something)

Lower limit would probably be ~16, perhaps as young as 15. I'm basing this off of the probable maturity level of the person in question rather than any legal concern. This lower limit would remain the same until the older person is 25 years old. Then I would increase it to 18, once again to address any problems that might arise from an extreme disparity in relative levels of maturity. The upper limits would be the same if roles were reversed and would disappear at the age of 25.

Um, no. I only have sons, but there was a 25 year old man dating my 15 year old daughter, there is a problem.

[edit]In the sense of fairness, if I found out one of my sons was dating a 15 year old, I'd feel compelled to knock some sense into him.[/edit]

We already derived an equation for this....

That equation is not the views of everyone.

Shens.

Well since this is about tridentboy, there will be no dating going on anyways so the entire question is pointless.

I don't think you should be dating a 16 year old at even 21.

Or 19, for that matter.

What is wrong with what I am saying? I don't see what is wrong...

I am saying that the equation(plus or minus 7/blah-blah-blah rule) is not universally held as correct..
