Hypothetical: city only has a Chevy dealership, do you exclude all other makers as choices?

I'm curious as to what to do.

Here we only have:

Nissan
Toyota
Mazda
Ford
Dodge
Chevy
Buick
Jeep
Mercury

To me it doesn't seem to make sense to get anything other than a car from those brands, even if I don't like what they offer. It'd be great to have an Audi or a Volkswagen (even Volvo), but with no dealerships here, what the hell would you do if you had a problem? The closest cities with BMW/Lexus/etc. dealerships are an hour and a half away. What the hell are you supposed to do, take a day off work just to have a minor problem fixed?

Well from personal experience, most BMW and Mercedes dealerships will deliver their car to you, and pick them up if there is a major problem. However most car service shops are 'authorized' bmw audi mercedes etc etc service stations which essentially means you can take your car their.

Get your Lexus Serviced at the local Toyota Dealership, your Acura at the Honda Dealership, and Infiniti at the local Nissan Dealership. :D For the others, stick with a local shop the Specializes in BMWs, Volvo, etc. They are usually some certified by the manufacturer to work on their cars :D

that is a hard one. If u do get a car from one the dealership that is an hour ago make sure u get a written clause that says they will come to u take your car for repair and give u a loaner car that equal the value of your car or greater for the time they need to fix the problem or perform schedule service

I don't beleive there's any shops that are Mercedes authorized, as when I bought my new Benz last year they said I can only take it to a Mercedes dealership as their engines are repaired mainly by computer, and they take the hit for all repairs which need to be done that are their fault, or done due to long wear, and they don't want other people tinkernig with their machines.

I'd only buy those cars for convience. I wouldn't want to drive my car 1.5 hours to have major service work done.
