Hypocritical Japanese Order Beef Tongues - Did you know they've had 7 cases of mad cow !?

I was reading in the Ottawa Sun today that the Japanese Embassy here in Ottawa ordered some beef Tongues for lunch, how damn hypocritical is that!?

I did not know that they have had 7 cases of Mad Cow disease since 2001 in their own beef industry either.

They're going to crush our beef industry soon.

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's Agriculture Ministry said on Wednesday it had banned imports of meat and related products of cattle, sheep and goats from Canada after a case of mad cow disease was discovered there.

Japan imported 19,676 tonnes of beef from Canada during the fiscal year ended in March, compared with its total imports of 534,012 tonnes.


They have had 7 cases of mad cow - not only that but they buy canadian beef for their embassy? very hypocrtical

Man.. cow tongues are freakin awesome! My mom used to buy them when they were damn cheap (99 cents/lb) and she'd broil it like a roast and we'd have it with potatoes. Now it cost like $25 for a freakin tongue! Damn good stuff though!

The point is that they wouldn't buy from America if we bought Canadian beef so America doesn't buy Canadian beef, and that's muy mal por Canada
