Hypocrisy to the umpteenth degree...

How can any Muslim nation say that we can't bomb Afghanistan during Ramadan when Syria and Egypt (supported by Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia, etc.) had no problem making a surprise attack on Israel in 1973 on Yom Kippur--the holiest day in the Jewish calender?

<Begin Severe Sarcasim> Well THAT Was Different...............................😉<End Severe Sarcasim>:Q

Isn't that a 'parental' approach - "do as we say, not as we do"? 😀

Sorry - not meaning to make light of a heavy topic.

But the Muslim religion is the only correct one 🙂 so bombing on the Jewish Holiday doens't really count.

Vespasian I understand what you mean. Their whole argument is illogical, but I would disagree with you in that from their point of view Yom Kippur isn't a legitimate holliday, and therefore irrevelant. I would put forward the proposition that the hypocrisy is better illustrated by the 8 or so year war between Iraq and Iran. Both sides ignored Ramadan to attack their "brothers". If you look at conflicts between Arab states, Ramadan is rarely if ever a consideration in military conflicts. Now if they don't honor it, why should we?
