Hypnosis--Can I remember a childhood language?

I'm curious to see if I can recall the language of Korean through hypnosis or other method. I've heard most of what we learn is never is truly forgotten, but deeply filed somewhere in the archives. As English was my second language, I completely forgot my first. (Many reasons, mainly lack of use, moving to other foreign countries, etc.)

Has anyone had hypnosis? Does it really work? Is it good for this kind of stuff?

You may be better off contacting a few hypnosis people around your area and asking them, after-all they'd know best. And I wouldn't just contact one, as he/she could say whatever you want to hear in order to get your money. If they do say yes, it's been done before, I'd kindly ask for documentation on it.

Goodluck on your journey.

Btw, have you tried to re-learn it. I'm sure there's a possability of it just hitting you onc eyou start.

I'd say "immersion" would be the most reliable and effective way to learn your childhood language . . . hypnois is not a science nor does it have consistent results

That's a good idea. I would try that.

no.

Language is PRIMARILY habit. the actual knowledge part of it is miniscule. will you be able to recall basic WORDS and so farth thru hypnosis? probably, will that mean that you will be able to SPEAK or UNDERSTAND the language in life? not necessarily.

No, hypnosis feeds off the power of suggestion. The hypnotist (aka scammer) will prescreen you to see what your agenda is really all about. Good hypnotists are clever at determining what you want to hear. From this, they will bring out memories that are "inside you", but in reality, you have made these up by compiling them from other sources -- television, books, all fantasy conjured up with reality.

Interesting point, that a language is not the kind of memory that can be recalled.
I will see about digging up who is in my area that does hypnosis.
