Hi, I have an Athlon 64 2800+ running on a Soltek SL-K8AN2E-GR (socket 754) with Corsair XMS PC3200-C2 RAM running at 2.5-3-3-6. So far with everything set normal I have been able to achieve an overclock of 9x235, for 2115 Mhz at 1:1 Memory ratio. Trying to raise it to 9x240 causes my memory to fail memtest. Upon reading several AnAnd mobo reviews, I have noticed that he was able to maintain a 1:1 ratio at about 40Mhz bus speed increase by lowering the HT multiplier from x5 to x3. If I do this, what effect does it have on system performance? Is it worth the additional speed to lower it?
Thanks, Jaimie
