HyperThreading Causes my BSODs!

After tonnes of troubleshooting, the causes of my random blue screens are because of having HyperThreading enabled. With it enabled, the computer will blue sreen whenever it feels like but often. It could be upon boot, while using the net, playing games, or even leaving the PC idle on the desktop.

Turning HT off makes my PC 100% crash-free.

I am upset that I have to disable HT now, so what could be the problem? The Intel HT Test gives all passes, and I've tested all my hardware. My RAM passes 100% all the time, and I have the latest drivers/firmware/security patches for everything.

What is conflicting with HT so that it doesn't work?

Do you have another HT CPU you could test on the system? What motherboard and BIOS? Believe it or not, it could be a defective CPU. I've RMA'd a couple to Intel after ripping my hair out and replacing literally ALL the other hardware.

actually if you could try your cpu in another HT motherboard that would really tell you the story. you would eliminate your other hardware as well.

That does sound like a very good idea, as I've also been intensely troubleshooting other hardware and software to no avail. It hurts so much! :(
