I'm pretty sure hypermemory is slower. isn't it like the 6200 TC that draws from your system ram? I could be wrong...

HyperMemory == Bad. It works just like Nvidia's TurboCache, except that it performs worse.

How much onboard memory is on these cards?

Hyper Memory cards are designed to use system RAM as video mem and only have a small amount of onboard mem. The x300 HM comes in 2 flavors: a 32mb model that can access up to 128mb total mem, or a 128mb model that can use up to 256mb total. The x300se has either 128 or 64mb of onboard mem and does not use HM. All 3 of these card use a 64-bit memory bus, which further cripples their performance.

If it's not too late, I would return the card if you plan on doing any type of 3D gaming, because none of the above will be adequate for modern games even on low settings. For under $100 you should be able to get a x700, a geforce 6200ddr2 or a x1300pro. The x700 is the fastest, the x1300 is the slowest, but any one of these 3 card will be a nice improvement over the x300. If the price is still too high, then at least get a x300 non-se, and make sure it has a 128-bit memory bus.

TC is nvidia only, and if it's not hypermemory then yea, it's fine.

So what are you going to do on this uber fast card ;)

:p
