Hyper Thread Question

Im currently running at 5 x 230 Hyper thread. But ive seen that it will not function above 1000. Can someone explain this to me.

That is an AMD system and that is HTT which is AMD HyperLInk...It is part of their direct conect architecture that pseeds up the talking of the cpu to the other components...It is like INtels FSB but double the theoretical throughput....


1000 is the standard now....running 5 (LDT) x 230 (HTT) is 1150 and over that...I would not run above 1000 plus benchmarks show no significant difference from 600-1000...so it is mainly about what your board will allow and still function...
