Does the stock stuff that came with the heatsink, come pre-applied? If so, then use it first. Otherwise, use the AS5.

really? most heatsinks (intel included) come with a huge slab of tim on them. i would rather use AS5 if i had it.

212evo comes with a tube of TIM. No reason not to use it.

I used the tube of paste that came with my Evo and it works just fine. Temps are nice and cool.

Same mine works just fine with my g3258 @ 4.4ghz temps got to a max of 69c after 16hrs of prime 95.
