Are these chips any good? I got them a while back from CC, and am maybe looking to maybe get rid of them, but who are they good for? intel systems? amd systems? How good do they generally overclock on each system? Thanks for any help, didn't really know where to post this question.

what kinda ram sticks did those chips come on ??
was it pc4200 or something ?

cause if it was i hear they overclock over ddr500 speeds
the only issue is they use really relaxed timings, but this is almost a non-issue because of all the bandwidth you get.
P4 and Athlon systems should like the stuff nearly equally i suppose
you might also wanna check out the new review on the anandtech frontpage of the pc3700 ocz memory; they have some charts of like 15 different memories (some with hynix chips) and how far they could overclock them.

good luck

THanks, good info.

Has anyone else tried overclocking their bt-d43 chips on an athlon chipset, mainly the nf7s-v2? I've seen great results on the intel platform, and i understand this stuff works great for them, which is why i'm considering getting different sticks for my platform.

Hey there Balael

If your DDR sticks have the these Hynix chips on it - HY5DU56822BT-D43 - you have GOT GOLD IN YOUR HANDS !!!

I have 2 x 512 el-cheapo *generic* sticks in my P4P800 using these Hynix chips and they happily do 267mhz @ 2.75v @ 3/4/4/8 @ 1:1 [ ie: DDR 534 ] - I know they will go higher but 267mhz is the limit of my P4 2.6C.

KEEP THEM !!!!!

I will be going to an Athlon 64 3200+ soon and plan to o/c it - at least I know my Hynix DDR wont be the problem.

Also, you should know that a lot / most of the high end end expensive DDR from compalnies like Corsair, Geil, OCz etc .... uses these Hynix chips - they are an absolute classic product - DONT SELL THEM !!

These chips came in my HyperX PC-4000 and in my Dell spec Kingston PC-3200 ECC 1 Gb kit. Both rock solid at 250 FSB.
