I met a guy while studying programming in 1971 and we got to be friends. While knocking about one day we stopped at his folks house. He went off to talk to his mom while I waited in the kitchen. His sister walked in, we looked at each other got married one year later and are still solid as a rock as a couple.

Best friend I ever had. 😀
 
Match.com, believe it or not, back when the service was new. She saw my pic and wrote to me. We wrote back and forth for about a month before we met in person.

We've now been married for almost 5 years now, have an awesome almost-2-year-old son, and another baby is on the way. She's probably the best wife I ever could have asked for, and she's probably the best mother I've ever seen.
 
Her dad and my dad were buddies on the same ship when we were kids. We grew up as friends and did the typical navy brat thing and chased each other around the country.

I finally met up with her as adults when my ship was transferred to Alameda, CA and it was all over from there. :heart:
 
I met my current girlfriend on an internet dating site. We've been together for about 4 months now. Right now she lives 2 hrs away, I'm moving up that way in the fall for school though. For now we hang out on the weekends.
