I'm looking to get a Hydration pack, I'm cheap and don't need anything huge so I've narrowed it down to these 2.

The North Face Junction 4 Hydration
Camelbak Rogue.

The N.F. one looks interesting but I can't find any info on it. The Rogue FAQ I found said don't put anything outside of water in it's bladder, it didn't mention why. But I'm guessing because fungus & mold from sugar and stuff? I did see a few other Camelbaks that didn't say anything about putting non water drinks in them. If I clean it well I should be good to fill it with Crystal Lite + Vitalyte mixture?

Other question, if the N.F. is worth gettting, who makes good replacement bladders? I noticed for the Camel's, Camel sells their own bladders. But for N.F. I'm not seeing any. The Junction 4 is a 50oz pack, is it safe to assume that most 50oz bladder packs would fit in it? Last question, if my 2 choices aren't great what should I look for. My budget's right around $50 shipped.

Before I can help you pick a pack, what activity are you using it for?

Outdoor jogging/running in So Cal. Gets 110'ish in the summer so I figure it would be a good idea to have something. I don't go out for longer than 30 minutes, but at 110 I'd probably pass out without liquid. Last summer I carried a Polar bottle when I'd go jogging.

When this summer comes around, I too will probably be looking for something like this, because unless something changes, on some days I will have zero choice but to run during peak heat as opposed to running in the morning hours.
And I will want to be doing cardio on some days for longer than 30 minutes - I will probably try and plan the longer days for better times of day/better weather, but sometimes there is little choice unless I want to completely alter plans.

Normally I hate hate hate carrying any water, be it in a camelbak or a bottle, during intense activity. I always felt the weight throws off my rhythm, especially if it's a larger bladder and is sloshing about.
But a small bladder would be plenty because I wouldn't want to drink a lot of water and would be properly hydrated beforehand, so I could save the majority of rehydration for recovery.

[in short - subscribed. will look here for good info later :D]
