Hybrid hard drives?

Hey everyone,

I have read about hybrid drives being released recently for notebooks but haven't been able to find much info on regular 3.5 drives for desktop PCs. Does anyone know when they are coming out? Any good preview articles about them? They sound very interesting from the info I could find.

theres very little about even the notebook drives. A lot of talk how they will be a big improvement for vista and for battery (and some negative talk from IBM about how they don't help) but little in the way of details or benchmarks (and the few notebook drives that have been "released" have 256 megs of flash or less, not the couple of gigs that were talked about as actually being useful).
