Hey all,

I have a desktop gaming rig that I recently moved down to the TV as an HTPC as I don't play games often, but do every once in a long while.

Its got an AMD 785G chipset, corresponding onboard ATI graphics, and I have a ATI 4850 card installed as well.

Most of the time the onboard graphics would be fine, and I'd like to use the 4850 only for games. Supposedly the Crossfire X can do this, but if I connect my TV using the onboard HDMI instead of the HDMI on the 4850, I don't get any video on the screen.

Googling and internet research just brings me to marketing material on crossfireX, or instances where performance can be increased by adding a low power discrete GPU to the onboard. I don't expect any performance increase, I just want to shut down the discrete GPU to save power.

Is this possible? Thanks guys.
