Hi, i have a A10-6700 richland with a HD 8670D internal gpu. Would it be used by games for physics or graphics if i would add a discrete card such as for example R9-270 ?
Or would it be turned off completely ?
I am thinking of buying a decent videocard but not to powerhungry.

The radeon R9 270 is a GCN 1.0 gpu.
The HD8670 is a VLIW5 gpu if i am correct.

I have a 380W max PSU, what would a R9-290 consume in power worst case ?

No it will not do any Hybrid CF with the R9 270.
With that PSU i would go as high as R9 280 to 285.

A, thank you. I meant a r9-270 but i typed it wrong. I just started reading about that new radeon nano. Seems promising.

Yea if you want something powerful the Fury Nano is the one to get and you will be ok with the PSU as well.

Hey Aten,
You made 7850k work in xfire with Cape Verde?
Cape Verde was in 7750 and 7770. I have 7770, do you think it will work in xfire with 7850k?

I cannot confirm this but i believe you will not be able to do so. The driver will not see a R7 250 or R7 250X in the system and it will not open the CrossFire option.
But you can try and report back here your findings ;)
