HX520 8pin power cable length

I'm using a HX520 to power my new server that I put in an Antec 1200 case. No complaints about the PSU itself, but the length of the 8 pin CPU power connector is too short to use the routing holes to put it behind the motherboard (Asus P5Q PRO). So I have it draped across the whole front of the case in an effective, but unattractive, fashion.

Anyways, not much I can do about it. Just figured I would give a heads up to anyone considering using the same PSU / Case combo.

A great many PSUs have the same problem in cases where they are mounted on the bottom. But there are 8 pin exstention cables availible that will allow you to rout it behing the motherboard tray.

I have the same PSU and purchased an extension cable for the EPS12V 8-pin from eBay for a few bucks. This way I routed it around the back (P182B case). It might be a hard stretch otherwise, although I haven't used the 1200 myself.

I have a P182 and a HX520. That cable goes fine behind the mobo and has enough of length. No extensions were needed. Though that other case, no idea really. The pictures of it look as if the PSU is next to the mobo, like in a P182 and without the wall too (should be like 1cm less length needed). So I don't see how it won't be enough. An extension cable is a good idea though.
