HX 620 or 520?

I'm currently building a system right now, I've got an 8800 GTS (640MB). Buy.com has the 520 for $90 shipped AR and the 620 for $130 shipped AR. Will the 520 be fine for the GTS? If so, is it future proof? I don't want to get it if it's only going to last me a year or so.

They're both solid power supplies.

However, if you want one that's more future-proof, get the 620. Though processors seem to be getting more and more power-efficient, the latest high end graphics cards are getting more and more power-hungry. Combine that with the trend of multiple hard drives in home PCs, and you can see how things are going...

1. 520 is fine for the GTS

2. 620 is never future-proof compared to 520. with next-gen vidcards using 8-pin connectors, you'll end up using adapters which will eat up on the available molex connectors. if you don't have many drives and other accessories plugged in then you should be fine.

The highest I could get my power usage is 342 watts pulled from the wall, as measured with a Seasonic Power Angel. My specs are in signature, as well as the power usage info... I still bought the HX620 so that I could run SLI and have more hard drives if needed.

Gonna go ahead and get the 520. Whenever I upgrade my video card I'll probably upgrade my power supply too. So since this is sufficient for this build, I'll go for it.
