how do i backup settings for this software if i install windows ?

Just copy the configuration file from the program folder. I use the portable version, and in that case you just copy the whole folder.

i always run it from drive e: but whenever i run it i need to do all settings for on screen display again but i always run from same path after fresh windows installation
