Huxley Beta is out on Fileplanet

Does the Comcast Founder's Club not work anymore? I used to be able to get into all the betas and now I'm not even a subscriber.
 
Have to be a subscriber to Fileplanet, me thinks. I re-sub'd for a month to get the Beta Key. I've been waiting for this game for a loong time.
 
nProtect GameGuard fails to update..

choosing "rescan" fixes this.

definitely beta - game uses 98% resources and locks up every now and then. So far - feels like an MMO Unreal Tournament...

I believe Comcast stopped doing that because I lost my founder's club status through Comcast back in March.
 
Closed Beta is from June 3-14 2pm-10pm PST.
This is Closed Beta 1.
This definitely feels like an UT3 MMO. It's fun, but I'll reserve judgment til I play more than 1 round. It looks and feels good, but is quite taxing on my rig.

Basically Huxley plays like a lobby-based shooter. His exact word were "Unreal Tournament".

Anyone hoping for a persistent world large-scale shooter need not apply.

He likened it with Exteel, just with a crappier lobby system.

Word is that this CQB was only out to test the small scale PvPing. Next sessions will open the game up a bit more. Which is something I'm hoping for. I enjoyed the Beta enough to keep it on the burner and continue to chart the progress of this game that I've been following for almost 4 years now.

Well, supposedly it sounds like they'll be adding in some sort of persistent PvP areas in the game for people to explore. But this all makes it sound like at launch it will end up just being a lobby shooter at release, and the persistent areas might be some sort of expansion.
 
looked and felt too much like UT3 for me. i didnt play it much, just couldnt get into it but i'll have to give this title a pass and wait for BF3.
