HD is clearancing out an air impact kit. The kit is $39 and contains:

  • 4 CFM
  • 1300 IPM
• Air ratchet

  • 45 ft/lb

  • 3 CFM
  • 3/8" drive
• Extras
  • 3/8" to 5/8" 5 piece sockets
  • 3/8" to 1/2" drive adapter (so sockets fit on ratchet)
  • 3" extension
• other goodies
  • 2 male quick connect air fittings
  • 1 femake qucik connect air fitting
  • rubber tipped blow gun (nifty!)
  • blow molded case

not bad for $39. These can only be found at the B&M stores. The UPC is 722470016328. Enjoy.

the first post in this thread was my 14,500. only 14,000 to go

The store I got mine at had 2 more. Most stores will have a ton of these unless they were sold earlier, but if they are going on clearance, they didn't sell too well

Colorado Springs North (Woodmen) location had nothing, South Academy had 1 which is now in my trunk!

A couple of extra bits of info which may help when calling:

Yes, the H4103 gun alone is ~$60 on the shelf right next to this...

If you have to ask, don't waste your money.

It acts like a box end wrench with someone tapping (or beating) on the end with a hammer. This vibration and torque makes most nuts and bolts come out very easily. Great for automotive work.

Basicly it is an air powered ratchet. It runs on air from an air compressor. This gun applies the same about of torque as you jumping up and down on a wrench. Basicly, you cna change a tire in about 60 seconds by yourself, easy.

Those were basicly to clear the stores of clearance merchandise in a short amount of time so that new stuff could be moved in. AFAIK most of the clearance stuff went out the doors, but it is very possible it could be a yearly event now. Even being an employee, you did not know until the night before. If you know what you are looking for in a HD store you could probably tell. Hell, just ask an employee. If they know they will tell ya. Just don't ask someone who looks like a manager

Yes, there may still be some fantastic deals on compressors at Lowes. They've been clearing out their Porter Cable units for a while, so this is a huge YMMV, but it's totally worth a shot since they had a ton of them. I got this beaut at Lowes for $169.

last time i checked impact wrench was jsut a wrench powered by air

I believe the air creates a smacking or impact like effect to produce the torque, like an impact driver, when you smack it with a hammer to produce torque.

If anyone is in the Salinas area, there are 3 left.

yes, an impact wrench is different than an air ratchet. An air rachet is included in the kit however.
