Hurting a lot right now...

My grandfather just died last week, and even though we weren't too close, it shook me up quite a bit.

Also, this will probably affect a lot of things in my life inadvertantly.

Also, I had to give up something for a time to do the right thing, but the right thing was very hard to do, and it is really affecting how I feel right now. It may have hurt someone that I care for too, and that just makes me feel even worse. :(

I need to figure out how to trust that everything will work out the way it was supposed to in the end as long as I do what is right/honorable, but I am so messed up right now. My parents flew up for the funeral, so I am by myself at home, which doesn't help at all. And I can't seem to concentrate at work right now.

I don't know why I am sharing all of this. I think it helps just to vent, but I am really struggling and hurting right now.

My condolences on your loss.

I know I felt pretty bad when my grandfather died but in time you will learn to accept it and continue on. Every once in a while when I feel bad I think of a good memory of me and my grandfather and it helps alot.

I will see him again one day, but I wanted to visit him before he left. It happened way sooner than I expected.
The other thing is affecting me a lot right now too.

I am sitting at work crying, but since I have a corner office and I mainly program, it should be alright. Pretty unprofessional though.

My condolences about your Grandfather. I personally can't stand funerals, I cry every time I hear "On eagles wings" because it was played at my Grandma's. Time heals better than anything else, but talking certainly helps. Just try to remmeber th egood times instead of the bad.

Cut it with "the other thing". If yo uwant to vent, vent, but we really can't respond when you won't actually talk about whats happening.

 to you man, lost my Grandmother last year, bawled like a baby at work, and you know what, fvck what anyone at work thinks about it. I can relate to your pain, and relationships with your family are much more important than work can ever be. For me, I just had to break down and cry my eyes out to deal with it. I loved her so much. Keep your head up man.

His quote and what he said, I would guess he turned someone in.

I had to walk away from a friendship for a time, so as to not manipulate the situation. I do not want to toy with this person's emotions or hurt this person's trust, but it hurts to step back from such a good friendship even if it is only for a time. :(

Don't feel ashamed of your emotions. You mentioned something about being in a corner office and programming most of the day so no one can see you. It's perfectly human and normal to go through what you're going through and to feel the way you do. Just keep that in mind.
