nothing new, they do this all the time, and it is hardly an "awesome" deal, most of the restaurants suck big time

That's my number one complaint. The selection of participating restaurants in Portland, OR isn't that great :(

Isn't this MORE than 50% off?

You spend $5, you get $25, that's essentially 80% off.

$50 for $10, that's 80% off too.....

So why the 50% off?

edit: Oh i see, they originally charged you $10 for a $25 GC, now it's $5 off....wow, talk about awesome deal.

When used in the restaurant, are these like a normal gift certificate, or do standard promotional rules apply?

For example, if I get these, can I still use an Entertainment Book buy one entree get one and get my meal for a grand total of (a whole lot) off?

For those that have used these a lot I've got a couple questions. In the terms and conditions it says you can use one redemption per month per restaurant, do the restaurants really stick to this? It also says dine-in only and valid for parties of two or more, one of the restaurants is also a deli and I'd like to use it at the deli would it work for that?

You would have to contact the restaurant and see if they would honor it at the deli. You can get the restaurant info before you buy the GC.

BTW there is now a 60% off coupon.. but it expires on 6/30

How does the 50% off restaurant coupons work?
I saw some of those at 3.00 (and quite a bit less at 60% off) .. why are they so cheap?
Dare I buy them?

Edit: also, how does shipping work?

They work great! I use them every chance I can. Especially when I travel. Here's the best part... they don't ship.. you actually print off the gift certificate right after you buy it.

It all depends on the particular restaurant... One here let a co-worker use one, and 2 days later they went with us and another couple and let use one too. It was supposed to be parties of 4 or more for that place, 1 per month, etc. But they only had 3, and they said no problem. And even though we had 6, we were splitting the bill, so we really only had 2 on our check. Our check came to a grand total of $1.8x! I did leave a nice tip though...

How did your bill come to nearly 2 bucks?
Most of those say "Minimum $25" on the $15 cert and "Minimum $35" on the $25 cert. And only way you could get $1.80 bill would be ordering $3.60 with 50% off?
